Ours, on the low setting, doesn't move very much air. On the high setting, it's better but, not all that much. I've reversed it and it's different but, not that much better. Oh, and it still ticks, in either direction.

Bend the tips of the blades down some to give it more space between the ceiling and the blades. They are to close thus restricting airflow. It solved the low airflow on my fan
