Last trip out the part that attaches the motorhome that the leg of the awning then attaches to broke. Probably when the winds kicked up and my wife tried to keep the awning from blowing away.

Question is, can I just order that piece and is there any reason I can't replace it myself? It appears to be screwed in, the base then appears to have some silicone around the edges. Anything I am missing?

Easy to replace and a dealer should have that part in stock. $15 or so. Just unscrew, reapply silicone, and re-screw.

Should be no problem, as long as the screws didn't pull out and strip the threads on the coach. If that is the case you might have to go to a slightly larger screw of the same type.

Just re did both side mounts on my awning. Used slightly larger self tapping screws-hex head..zinc plated..coated front end threads with blue "lock tight:..finished last few threads with silicon...torqued new scew fastner down to about 20 #s. After all fasteners are installed on mount...go back around again and retorque to 20-25 #s

Thanks for the comments, I picked up the part and I'll pick up some blue lok-tight and clear silicon and give it a go this weekend.

Lock tite comes in blue tubes. There's high strength and medium strength...look for blue tube with "Medium Strength " on the package lable.
