Bolts on Residential Refrigerator

Does anyone know where the Whirlpool Refrigerator is bolted down in a 2015 Winnebago Vista 36Y? We want to move ours about 1" so we can put in refrigerator kiddie straps instead of the knob and screw, can't find where it is bolted and the documentation doesn't say.

I can find lots of articles on putting in a res. refrig, but nothing on where it is bolted.

Thanks

I have not been in the Vista but the other units are bolted at the bottom at the front with L brackets and held at very the top at the rear of the fridge with a light weight L bracket. This bracket is screwed to the wall with a small metal screw and fastened to the hings at the top of the frig.
You need to remove the cover at the base to see the bolts on the floor.
For the top brackets you will need to remove the wood held by pin nails at the top of the frig.

Sue46, looks like there are a couple of brackets on top that are screwed to the top of refrig and to the back wall. Maybe able to see them with a flashlight. Getting to them well that maybe another story.

Thanks Grant. I wish I had easy access to the Winnebago info. It is such a pest to get to that I don't even try. Hopefully they will fix their systems so that it has easier access.

You are correct about being screwed to the back wall. That is Edgar the picture is showing. And those are the two screws you will need to remove. The other end of the bracket is held by the bolts holding the top door hinges. I used a real long screwdriver with a magnet to remove the two rear screws and did not touch the hing bolts. I just left the bracket attached to the refrigerator when I pulled it out. I put silicon on the screw heads and used the magnet to hold them to get them back into the back wall.

We didn't find any upper brackets but did find a lower bracket bolted to the front of the refrig. We unscrewed that and still couldn't move it. Will keep looking to see if there is something we missed. Did not see any upper bracket at all but will double check today.

If you have an aluminum frame on the side of refrigerator there may be side brackets attached to them. That is how my dryer is attached at the top.
