Body Coat (?) Itasca Sunstar 2013

I searched and found conversations about the gel coat, and I have already had to have the "brow" redone where that peeled, but if there was a thread about this I missed it when I searched.

The three front body segments on my Sunstar appear to have something similar to a clear decal or plastic film. These are the engine cowling (or hood) which I think is one piece. There are two other body parts of the cowling above and below.

This film has just started to peel back, I took a piece of black electrical tape and ran it along the edge, and because my paint is black, this "repair" is invisible. Is that what this is, a film? It's not the gel coal like the rest of the body, just on the forward facing body components. And the fix is - ?

It is 3m diamond shield or some other similar produce I would assume. On there to protect front from chips, etc.

Yup, that's it, thank you for the direction. After reading, it's an interesting process, and they seem willing to help DIYers although maybe they just sell twice as many kits that way. I had a heckuva time trying to put my wife's quilter decal in the rear window and so may just stick with black electrical tape along the seam until I can get to someone who has done it once.
