Bedroom slide scratching floor on 2016

I have the 35P Adventurer and have a bedroom slide. The bed has Teflon sliders under the bed. They are touching during movement and during driving. I have looked at other 2016 Winne products with a bedroom slide and I have seen a carpet wrapped block on the bed vs the Teflon mine has. Makes sense to have Teflon for carpet, but does not make sense for tiled floor.

We had seriously damaged tiles replaced, thinking previous bedroom slide issues may have caused them. But new tiles now have some scratches.

Winne says Teflon is the proper part, interesting since I have seen the indoor/outdoor carpet on some.

Anyone else having this issue with bedroom slide?

I think you are right ... carpet glide for tile floors. We changed our living area from carpet to tile ... we removed the Teflon glide and replaced it with a carpet glide ... it has been two years and no damage to the tile floor from the slideout.

I have seen a product to put under the slideout every time you retract to protect your floor ... I have not used them ... I don't know how effective they are ...

They said it usually takes 6-8 weeks to build. Eight weeks would be at the end of December, so I'll plan on the end of January. :-)

We have the carpet glides under our bed and tile floor. I noticed this not long after we purchased our coach and it kind of bothers me. However, we have over 100 cycles on the slide and no noticeable damage. I am still a little concerned that the carpet may wear the floor and I just started experimenting with a thin sheet of plastic that I lay on the floor for the carpet runners to ride on.

It is very tight under the bed slide. How were you able remove the Teflon runner and install the carpeted runners?

gtharris, thanks! I did some digging around and it looks like the metal frame is part of the slide. I saw no bolts or attachments. I spoke to a service guy, that said the slide would have to be leaned out to get to the bed skids. I have temporally rapped the Polyurethane skids with some indoor/outdoor carpet until we can talk to Winne. If they refuse, it may become permanent.

Well, Winnebago has stepped up again! Had pics taken of the skids and of the floor scratches. Service tech and I called Winnebago and were able to get them to admit that the plastic skids were incorrect. This, even though, they are the correct skids ordered for this RV. Took a little bit to convince them. New skids and six new tiles ordered.

I am more than impressed with the way Winnebago has covered all my items. All my issues are as a second owner RV, just beyond the one year point. Sure glad I bought another Winnebago product.

We just bought a used 2016 Adventurer 35 P. 12 days after bringing it home the slide would not come in. We had a 15 days used RV warranty from the dealer. They replaced both motors on the slide. Now when we brought the slide out in it came in crooked and tilted. Now we can't bring in the full slide on the drivers side as the bed slide will prevent it from coming all the way in. We are beginning to wonder if this is why the previous owner traded it in because of slide out problems. Where do we go from here? Does Winnebago Industries have a trouble "hotline"?
