Bathroom Vent Fan Upgrade

Has any one upgraded their bathroom vent fan using the Heng's Vortex Fan Upgrade Kit from RV Upgrades? It isn't clear if my vent in a 1999 Brave is an Elixir vent. It doesn't look like a Ventline or Jensen.

I'm just so used to Fantastic Vent fan products that I wouldn't consider an alternative. I know the FV has always supported my product whether or not I had a receipt or regardless of how old it was. I can always rely on FV to send me parts and typically for no charge.

I installed the Vortex in my rig. Not difficult at all. I wasn't satisfied with the noise level at first but it seems like the more it's used, the quieter it gets. I didn't go with the FV only because of the cost of the unit and the installation cost

In my opinion and experience..............if a Fantastic Vent u nit costs twice as much it will be less expensive than any competing brand. Just read what Driver said.......that's worth quite a bit to me.

Not familiar with the vortex fan but based on the cost of Fantastic fan then it apparently falls in the lower price range. Reguardless what the printed warranty from FV says for time limit I have found they stand behind their products reguardless of the time. In some cases you get what you pay for and in FV case you get more

Not sure why there is an up charge to install a FV. I installed mine and it was a piece of cake.

I even have a remote, thermostatically controlled fan. Love the variable speed and it's quiet.

We replaced the front vent fan on out trailer with a MaxX Fan with the remote and automatic temperature control. It was not at all hard to replace/

The installation charge would be because I'm not getting on the roof. The vent lid would have to be changed out.Too old and decrepit for that.
I have the FV with the upgrade and remote in the living area. The Vortex is in the toilet area. It doesn't get the amount of use that the FV does. That's why I opted for the less expensive route. And it works just fine for it's purpose. In fact, it's powerful enough to pull the door closed.
