Basement air model number

How can I find out the model number of the basement AC? This is all I can find on the outside of the unit...and this is not a legitimate model number.

Call Winnebago with your coach serial number or the last 6 of your VIN and they'll tell you

I had a 2010 Tour and I know the basement A/C was by Coleman but don't have a clue as to the model number

You should have a manual for the unit in your owners satchel. I think W used the same model in all their basement units.
Here is a source for new 2T Coleman-Mach basement units: Coleman Mach - Two Ton HE Combination Heater & Cooler | Airxcel

Yep found it. Was told by Coleman they do not make a replacement for this model.

I vaguely remember long-past threads about replacing basement units. They should still be here somewhere. If you're good with using the search feature you will probably find most of them.
Here are threads I have bookmarked:
https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&p...zBiZTYxYzU5ZWQ

http://www.irv2.com/forums/f101/a-c-...of-158086.html
Coleman_Mach says that is not a valid model number you found. It offers valid model examples below the box to enter your model number. That page has pictures showing where to find your model number.

These units are rebuildable, so I'm told but you will need a reliable HVAC person to complete the work.
I also understand there is a replacement unit.

If you're in the area, I would stop by 3ts RV in Lake Havasu and have them check out the unit. They should be able to give you some options.

Replacement

Were you able to find out if there is a replacement unit available for the 6538-751? Thinking of buying a 2009 Journey with this basement unit.

That replacement unit is no longer being manufactured...I have had my unit "repaired" and it is working very good...keeping us cool with temperatures in the 90's....parts are available for this unit...

I noticed the amp draw on my AC when both compressors were called for was only ~17-18 amps...it should be ~23 amps...the second compressor was only pulling ~ 5 amps which meant it was probably low on freon...so figured a small leak. I had it pulled and it was determined the expansion valve was defective on the second AC circuit. The part is not that expensive, about $180 but the labor is what is expensive as the unit had to pulled and have a port installed so freon could be installed back into the system...and freon (R22) for my model is not cheap!! Anyway it ended up costing $1400 to have the AC unit R & R....when adding a port you need to make sure whoever is doing that job knows what they are doing....the port should be brazed in....a piercing valve is prone to developing a leak so you'll be pulling the AC unit again pretty soon.
I can say my unit is working great now...I also taped the bottom elbow of the AC ductwork with a very high quality duct/mastic tape...made a huge difference.
I am sitting in Spokane, WA where the temp is 99 outside...we are a cool 75 degrees in the coach....full sun no shade...I have all of my awnings out keeping sun off the windows/side walls...and a magneshade screen on the windshield with curtains...I have a 40' coach with 2 slides...
I am happy with the repairs done to the AC unit.

RV product shop might have an idea for a replacement - with modifications.
