Basement A/C fan won't shut off
I just had my rig washed and waxed and now the basement a/c fan won't shut off. They used a pressure sprayer to wet it down before sudsing it up, and that is the only connection I can think of. I had a spare Coleman/Mach TrueAir stat so I swapped it out, but no change. Fan Mode switch is on AUTO, Thermostat switch is in the OFF position, Fan Speed switch is on LO. A/C works fine (when on COOL) except the fan won't shut off. So for now I trip the breaker to turn it off. Before I take it to the dealer, any ideas?

Maybe you could wait a day and see if you dry out. Or let it run with either the heat pump of AC on, this might dissipate the moisture.

I would open the basement unit pc board cover and see if it will dry out.

I do have the fan switch on AUTO. I am in FL, we have been having dry weather with high in the 80's since it was washed, and it has been running, so I presume it has had a chance to dry out. I do suspect it is something in the control circuit, so I guess my next step is to open it up underneath and see what I can see.

try turnning off all of your flouuresent lights and see if that helps. sounds crazy, but a defective ballast can keep that fan running. someone else on this site had that problem and so did I.

Sorry, I forgot an update: Took it to the RV shop, they replaced the circuit board in the unit under the coach, all is now fine. Moral of the story, don't power wash the a/c unit.
