I just unintentionally joined the smokey, cloudy window club caused by a poor thermal seal by Atwood in my Suncruiser 05. I wonder how extensive this problem is and why we should carry all the financial responsibility to fix an obvious manufacturing problem! There is strength in numbers so if we have enough owners I will be glad to attempt to start some type of recovery for members who either currently have the problem or paid to fix it.

I'm in with you. We pay plenty for our coaches and if the industry isn't made uncomfortable about this issue it will not improve.

Atwood has responded, they are pulling out of the RV window business.

They are a separate operating unit so Atwood probably has sidestepped this 100% by laying everyone involved off and shutting it down.

I am in with you. I have tried the Government agency several times and got no where. Because a company goes out of business or shuts one division, down does not mean you can escape your liabilities, albeit, sometimes it makes it much more difficult. Winnebago is certainly involved here some where. They sold the coaches and knew for years this was a severe problem, involving safety. One buys from a trusted manufacturer expecting they have done their best to provide a merchantable product in the main.

Neil, so who is the new window company that Winnebago and others will be using? Wonder if Pella has made or would make RV windows?

Tom,

Ask and you will receive:

Looks like Starquest Products in Goshen has bought out the widow company and is relocating it to Goshen.

There is more if you search for Atwood closes plant or Starquest Products.

Would any of you prefer a removable, disposable interior storm window instead double pane (pain) windows?
