2002, Sightseer ...with many 'Yellow'ish' interior bits with the exception of the ceiling. YouTube is really helpful, so I followed the advice presented by a guy who refreshes old computers.

Hydrogen peroxide - which bleaches hair, is wound care and people (who?) even gargle with it. What's cool about the internet is that you find both the highest concentration, 40%, and the least likely to evaporate (a cream) comes from Sally Beauty Supply. $12. gal.

I bought a 20watt UV lamp on Amazon and started yesterday afternoon at this time. I have an old site trailer that I use to fix and paint surfboards. Set the pieces on a sheet of plastic let the light shine. He did 36 hours - me too for the first time.

About 40hrs later.... It did pretty good. The fellow who applied the goop was the problem; not uniformly applied. (arrows) I'll put it back under the lamp for more, but this time not wrap it. One of the concerns was that less viscous peroxide would evaporate before it did the magic. I wrapped these in the film you wrap stuff on pallets with ...like Saran Wrap for sandwiches. This time - no wrap. I'll only 'spot' coat it to see if there is further bleaching that takes place.

Final report: It's a 90% success ..but, I have all the tools to shoot these pieces with automotive paint - which would not yellow in my lifetime. ...lotsa other projects first.

My next one, using UV and peroxide, is a stain on the headliner. The solid fiberglass roof on this Sightseer is a big plus in my mind but the PO didn't pay much attention to the joints on the nose and tail caps... !?

Thanks, S&S. I don't have a lot to offer beyond 'trying-before-knowing' stuff, but I glean tons of information from the bits other people have dropped online ...'figure it's almost an obligation to put some back, no matter how meager. Cheers.
