Anyone ever have the inside tank guage adjusted to match the outside tank guage?

Inside guage reads emty. Outside reads 1/3.

Had a loose wire on the tank, but the inside read full, outside read what it was supposed to.

On many (all?) of the Ventline pc boards there is an adjustment on the pc board that will calibrate the bar graph to the tank gauge.
My pc board was labeled T1, T2, T3, and LP as I recall.
Mine was easy to get to - four screws removed the OnePlace panel and the pc board is right behind the LEDs. A small screwdriver inserted through a hole to turn the potentiometer did the adjustment.

Any input as to which way to turn the screw and how far may be useful to us who are intimidated by such things.

It's been a while and I don't remember which way did what, but you can watch the LEDs and turn the way that does what you want.

I think your inside vs outside is reading correctly. In MY Winnie 4 light system the correct readings of the lights in a tank you consume from (LPG and fresh water) the "actual" levels vs indicated levels are:
actual 0 to 1/3- (note minus) is empty red light
actual 1/3+ (note plus) to 2/3- is the yellow light
actual 2/3+ to full- is the first green
actual full- to full+ is the second green.
Not very "precise" but quite workable.
In this manner, an "empty or red" LED means it might be good to think about starting to look for LPG/fresh water as you have less than 1/3 tank left. This gives you some buffer time.

For a tank that fills (grey or black holding) things are a little different. Note that a red "full" led on these tanks actually means you are at the top and the tank is completely full. That is, there is no buffer room. This sequence thus follows:
actual 0 to 1/3- (note minus) is first green empty light
actual 1/3+ (note plus) to 2/3- is the second green empty light
actual 2/3+ to full- is the yellow light
actual full- to full+ is the red full light

PPS: Also note that "full" on an LPG tank means 80% of true full due to the OPD.

The only thing I liked on my FW MH's. Was that that panel read out was in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full.

I do not like this reading in 1/3 segments.
