air pressure goes to zero and right back up again

Twice my rear brakes air pressure dropped to zero and the alarm came on, the gauge went to zero. It lasted about 5 seconds then the gauge popped back up to normal and the alarm went off. Could it be an electrical problem? Connection to the gauge? Only did it twice and hasn't for a while. Worried me at first but it seems it was not really a drop in pressure but only a "fake" drop. Thoughts? Experiences?

Thanks.

My bet is a faulty VDC box. Search "VDC Repair" in this forum you will find many posts. I imagine the symptoms will mirror what you are experiencing.

"smlranger" (another member here) provided me and many others here DYI instructions for repairing. Good luck!

Ours did that and it turned out to be loose gauge wires. See if you can tighten them and your problem should be solved.

I think a 2004 Vectra will have the MMDC rather than the VDC. I haven't heard of any cold-solder issues with the MMDC.
