A/C filter, roof air, clean or replace?

Does my roof air, single unit, have an air filter?

If so, I imagine I would take the cover off and it's right
there.

Thanks in advance

You didn't say whether your roof AC is ducted or not. However, if it is ducted then your filters will be on your returb vents. Most are easy to take apart and clean or replace if they are in bad shape. If it is not ducted the there is a return on the AC that will be where the filter should be. Good luck!

Outside of cleaning the filters, you may want to pull the cover up top and clean both the evaporator and condenser coils with foaming cleaner... We do it every year or 2.

I think you will find the filter behind the large white grille on the ceiling. Remove the 4 screws and drop the grille, the filter is washable.

Not on the roof but behind the grill on the inside ceiling.

Not necessarily true. Some are that way and some are not.
