Floridakamper, yes electric heat is the heat pump. Should have electric heat on both zones. Note: gas heat will only work on the front zone.
A couple of things we do: do not put the solar shades down behind the night shades, the solar shades are black and absorb the sun's heat and the back of the night shades are white which will reflect it.
We also keep the AC fan on all the time to keep the air moving around, of course if the AC pump in running all time that would be a mute point.

There is "coldish" air blowing through all the roof vents. I don't know if it is not as cold as it should be. We traded in a 2010 Sunstar that also had 2 heat pumps that kept the RV cool in weather like this, and even hotter. The Sonova is 4 feet longer and much bigger inside with 3 slides.

Does this sound normal to you, or do you think we have a problem?

Thanks for any advice on this.

Ken
Look at your slide seals, sounds like you have some problems with them full sealing up.

For those of you experiencing cooling problems where the temperature of the air coming into the house is less than 20* cooler than the ambient temperature, What color are the external shrouds on your AC units?

The reason I ask this is because I read a post one of the forums recently (can't remember which one) where the OP was having a similar problem. His AC shrouds were black. After several attempts at trying to rectify the problem he finally removed the shrouds and painted them white. The new paint job resulted in reflecting enough sunlight that the temperature of the air coming out of the ducts was dropped by 10*.

It may be a long shot, but a $20.00 spray can paint job may cure the problem.

To further complicate the problem we have a 2013 Adventurer 32H. It has a full wall slide and a bedroom slide. It has the "Spring Mist" full body paint and 2 13,500 BTU AC's with heat pumps. The shrouds on these AC units are black. We have spent extensive time in situations where the temperatures are in excess of 90* with high humidity. We have never had a problem keeping the interior in the mid 70's

FMCA magazine just published an article about air conditioners. It says the proper way to check proper function is to chek the temperature of air coming out of the air conditioner and the temperature of air going into the air return. If the difference is 20 degrees F or greater the air conditioner is working properly. High humidity may cause lower readings.

We have a 2016 Sightseer 33C and it stays cooler if we open the fast cooling vents. But if the forward most fast cooling vent is open on our bedroom air conditioner it blows directly on the livingroom air conditioner thermostat shutting down the living room unit.

Safe travels. JD
