29r Triton V10 A/C issue.

When turning on the A/C (front dash) I'm getting a constant noise in the engine area that I am assuming is an A/C clutch issue. I'm getting cold air, it's just very noisy so I'm assuming the compressor is working. Questions:

1. Am I running any damage risk driving the vehicle as long as I'm not running the A/C? (no noise with A/C off).

2. Is this an issue that can be handled myself? Is the clutch assembly easily accessible?

3. If not, where is a good place to seek help? Ford truck dealer, RV dealer or any shop that handles vehicle A/C issues?

4. Assuming it's a clutch or pulley issue, any idea what a ballpark replacement/repair cost might be?

Thanks!

Tom

Not sure about replacing the clutch, it could be the compressor, since that is what gets turned when the clutch (AC) is turned on. In such a case there will be refrigerant to deal with. Any shop that handles AC and would deal with the motorhome, should be able to handle the job.
Your explanation of no noise when the AC is off seems to point to the compressor, not the clutch.

Thanks! That makes sense it could be the compressor.
