On our 2005 33' W20 Itasca Sunrise the hydraulic fluid reservoir is right behind and below the drivers side door. It's easiest to check it by moving the living room slide all the way out. You can then see and reach around to it. The reservoir cap has a fluid level dip stick attached to it and the cap just screws out and back on. I was told by a service associate at my Itasca dealership that basically the fluid level should be up to where the neck of the reservoir that the cap screws onto attaches to the reservoir itself.

On my Sightseer it is right next to the front left jack. Make sure the jacks are retracted before you check the level.

I thought the slides and jacks needed to be in and up to check fluid?

The slides on the 2005 Voyage 33v are not hydraulic. As stated, open the living room slide, and crawl underneath. The reservoir is almost right under the drivers seat.

This is correct, however (to be safe) I would extend the jacks to get it level, open the slide, and then retract the jacks. If the rig is out of level when you open the slide I believe it could bind. I'm probably wrong (I'm somewhat of a newbie in this area), but I prefer to be safe rather than sorry.

be careful when you put the cap back on that you do not over tighten it. Been there done that...had to get a new cap. I talked to Kwikee(after i broke the cap) and they told me to fill to line on dipstick. If you overfill it will blow out of the cap.

I have the 33' Itasca Suncruiser (2005) and my thoughts are the same as Peter Griffins. Matter of fact, my Op Manual states "To get an accurate indication of oil level, all leveling jacks must be UP and slideout rooms must be in." The pumps must have something to do with the slides. I dunno.

I'm not sure if the pumps have anything to do with the slides,as much as if the jacks aren't down and the rig level, the chassis may be twisted thus putting undue stress on extended slides.

I'm no expert, so this is just my guess based on previous posts about extending slides without leveling first.

The slide question (in or out) answer variess by whether the slides are hydraulic or electrical. Most winnie slides are hydraulic and driven by the same pimp as the jacks.
