14 31KE Wallpaper Woes

I did a search & came up empty? The wallpaper & seam tape in our MH is bubbled & wants to fall off. I had heard that Winnebago had gone to a new adhesive in 2014 anyone else having this issue? TIA, Don in Tucson

No problem with the wall paper, but the seam tape has been an ongoing problem. We keep a small roll of it onboard and replace it when it gets bad.

It would be great if someone had a contact to buy the wallpaper. I'd like to redo some of the bad walls in my coach as well as repair a small act of damage.

I was told that I could only purchase a wall panel. That is unacceptable.

Thanks

I have had many problems with the wrinkling of the wallpaper. 12 different areas. Sent pics and really they don't say much. I have been told that the adhesive is still on the back and I to try and use a hair dryer to heat it up and then take a spatula and try and smooth it out. Again, very poor quality control issue. We don't spend $200,000 for these things to happen Do we?? 2012/13 Itasca Meridian.

Apparently you did. It's worth mentioning that if all you can buy is a panel then Winnebago does not put on the paper and has no access to the supplier.

Suppliers stopped doing business in small quantities years ago to save money as selling one roll costs the same as selling 10,000 but the buyer of 10,000 usually is not expecting shipment from stock today or tomorrow. We are all stuck with it one way or another trying to get parts for almost everything. I'd look for a replacement wallpaper and install it.

Unacceptable or not that's the way the panels come from the panel manufacturer.

As a follow up. I was able to buy a roll of 1" wide tape that matched the paper perfectly. So instead of repapering an entire wall, I just cut a small piece and made the repair.

Worked out well for me but would have been bad if I needed a big piece.

Yes, unacceptable. But, many things in this world are that way.

Good to be resourceful.
