Tow vehicle pulling to one side

Hello,

I'm about to pick up my 2100BH next week and had an opportunity to pull a utility trailer with no trailer breaks that I rented from Home Depot to move a large item. This was the first time I towed with my 16 Honda Pilot which is what i will pull my TT with. When pulling out of the parking lot with the empty trailer I immediately noticed my Pilot pulling to the right, didn't matter if I was accelerating or coasting. Issue was consistent while towing with the trailer loaded. I drove my Pilot after disconnecting the trailer and no pull to the right. I then towed the trailer with my 06 Tacoma V6 Prerunner and no pull to the right. I just had the alignment done about a month ago at Honda dealership on my Pilot. I also just noticed last week a clicking sound when driving in reverse and turning the wheel at the same time, this is intermittent. I'm concerned that my Pilot may have an issue. Any thoughts on this?
Thank you for your assistance.

If the clicking sound is coming from the front wheel area it might be the CV joints as clicking in tight turns is a symptom. As new as your Pilot is this would not be typical but there are bad ones from the get go occasionally. As you are under warranty so I'd take it to the dealer to have a look.

For the pull I would tend to think it was the trailer causing the pull. The difference between vehicles could just be the relation of how the trailer sits with the different hitch heights. If you can I would try a different trailer and see if you get the same results. If the Pilot still pulls might be related to the trailer's alignment to the vehicle. Again I would take this to your dealer to see what they say.

Double check the air pressure in your rear tires. The extra weight on the rear could be changing the rolling resistance.

Try towing with the plug pulled. Just to check a wiring feedback issue effecting the braking system.

This just popped into my head as well and saw your post as I was going to update. I was thinking front tires as well since the trailer will remove weight from the front making a tire pressure discrepancy more noticeable.
