W 69947 isn't using a WDH with his trailer. Due to this the lighter back end allows the truck to be pushed around more than something with more weight. To counter this he added anti-sway bars to his standard hitch. I would always add some type of anti-sway to a travel trailer set up as that is a pretty big sail sitting back there.

One good looking rig. We too have enjoyed ours. We have had large rigs in past and found that there is many places we can go visit now that was just not possible in larger units. Happy Trials

Miss info. I do have a WDH. Curt 17500. The only safe way to travel in my opinion.
My tongue weight is well under the 1000lb limet. Bars not chains, bars also work as anti sway bars. Good system. I have used the type with leveling chains and this easy and great.

I misread and thought you just added sway bars not a full WDH.

Antisway on a standard hitch without WD is about the worst combination you can have.

The high hitch weight takes traction off the steering axle and anti-sway makes the tow vehicle understeer even more than normal. That's why they tell you to disconnect anti-sway in wet/slippery conditions.

Antisway equipment is necessary to counteract a WD hitch.

I agree with those that say “get one” for all the reasons they list... but also because after you’ve had this Trailer a while you’ll want to upgrade to something bigger and heavier and you’ll be glad you already have the WD/AS hitch.

I used the Husky Centerline for years when we had a Trailer and it was a great hitch. I highly recommend it to everyone.

PS I still have it in the garage. If you’re near San Antonio and want to buy it let me know.

We tow a 25' Outback with our 2013 F150. We only towed ONCE without a WDH. Added that and anti sway bars. Difference was day and night. Also consider dumping the LT p metric stock tires. Sidewalls are too soft for towing even at max psi. We went with load range E Hankook and made towing even better.

Question, does the Hankook load range E tires have steel belted SIDE walls. The reason for the question is i had Hankook tires on a 2012 Pleasure Way and sidewall blew out. This happened to many Pleasure Way owners.
Just asking.
