Sunriver, Oregon RV Campgrounds?

I'm hoping someone(s) have some good recommendations around the Sunriver, Oregon area. We will be taking our Aspect 30J (32' w/3 slide outs) up to meet up with our sons and grandkids. They actually have a cabin in Sunriver that they are renting but no room for the Aspect. We're going the middle of August and I see that the State Park in La Pine is already booked up. We prefer full hookups but can get by with elect/water if there is a dump station available. We looked at several websites and reviews online and it is obvious you can't please everyone! Hoping some in this community might have some recommendations. Thanks!

You might want to consider the Thousand Trails park in Sunriver. I donít know what the non-member rate is, but itís a pretty good place.

Do you know about Campground Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks They are generally the most trusted source for crowd-sourced ratings of campgrounds all over the US.

As an aside, they are owned by the same company that owns this website, so I believe your email and password from here will log you into campgroundreviews.com.

Just thought I would update for those possibly looking at Oregon State Parks. The online reservation system would not allow us to see what was or was not available for the dates we would be in the area. So, I waited and called them directly this morning. The nice lady that helped me on the phone had that ability and she was happy to look it up and give me options. As it turns out, the LaPine State Park had a spot available for 5 of the 6 nights we were looking for so we booked it at a whopping price of $138 total! She did tell me to check with the rangers the day before our departure in case they had an opening come available for the last night. What service! I sure do love the State Parks out west (don't know about those out east...yet!)! Anyway, just in case others might have the same issue.

# RV Parks Near Bend OR

My kids live in Bend and I have stayed at three parks there:
1. Bend/Sisters Garden RV Resort is a near 10.
2. Scandia RV Park is clean and in Bend proper. However, it is very cramped
3. Bend-Sunriver has more stuff for kids than Bend/Sisters Garden but the sites are not quite as fancy.

Thanks for the response! We almost booked the Bend/Sisters Garden RV resort as we have an old high school friend living in Sisters. We decided against it since the kids are staying south of Bend. Scandia RV sure did look cramped so it's nice that you confirmed. Bend-Sunriver was booked.

I'll keep this information as we travel through there from time to time. Thanks!
