Question Niagara Falls Campgrounds?

We're looking for recommendations for a reasonably priced campground near Niagara Falls. We prefer a full hookup and we would also like to be close enough that we could take an Uber from the campground to go and see the falls (we presume parking a 36' MH is not possible for sightseers).

Any suggestions?

If you have a smart phone, there is very good app called AllStays. It works on Android and iOS phones. Using a map of the area you are interested in, you can pick out campgrounds that are in the area you want, read about them, link to reviews, link the campground website, and so on. You can also use their website - www.allstays.com to get the same info (it's free, the app is $9.95).

I've not been to Niagara Falls but I bet I could find a campground pretty fast using AllStays.

Last year after attending the GNR we went to Niagara Falls and stayed at the Grand Island / Niagara Falls KOA and we found it pretty nice but I don't think it was cheap - just checking the website it is $86 and UP but it was a quick ride from the falls (7 miles) and the place was pretty nice. In July they seem to be in the midst of their tourist season so I you'll probably won't find anything cheap from Memorial Day to Labor Day in the area.

We are looking into a Niagra Falls trip also but it might be just 1 day stop. I’ve found that Parking Lot 3 allows RV and buses. From satellite view, it also looks like a shuttle runs by this parking lot.

We have been researching the NF area as part of this summer's trip. This link has a lot of useful information on it. https://wheelingit.us/2017/07/21/exp...anadian-sides/
https://wheelingit.us/2017/07/14/8-t...niagara-falls/

We decided to stay at 4 Mile Creek State Park. https://parks.ny.gov/parks/6/maps.aspx One good reason to stay at a state park is the fact that you get free entry to any of the other state parks in the area. Just show your camping pass. We plan to visit Old Fort Niagara as well as 30 mile point lighthouse, both of which are in State Parks. We can ride bikes to Old Fort Niagara fr 4MCSP.
There appears to be one of the three parking lots a Niagara Falls SP that does accommodate RV's but you probably have to get there early. We are hoping to park there, or somewhere reasonably close to the area and just bike everywhere from where ever we park.
One of the reasons we decided to stay with an RV under 25' was that we are usually able to find somewhere to park it and not have to bring a toad. Hopefully it will work out this time.

When we stayed at the nearest NY State campground our pass entitled us to FREE parking for our 35 foot long Itasca Sunova on Goat Island, which is between horseshoe falls and American Falls. There was ample space there for our coach. Having our motorhome with us enabled us to avoid the outrageous charges at the food concession since we were able to dine in our coach.

I’m sure you know you need a passport to visit the Canadian side of the falls. Although the American side is my favorite, you don’t want to miss the Horseshoe Falls. The Canadian side is a tourist trap as far as the town goes, but the falls from that perspective is phenomenal. You can also walk across the bridge from the US to Canada, but still need your passport. I love the American side and the park there. You see a different perspective of the falls and the river every few hundred feet. Wear comfortable shoes! Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds were very enjoyable too. Drive down to the whirlpool. I’m not sure about RV parking there, however. We totally enjoyed our trip there fourteen years ago and look forward to going back. We did not RV there, but will next time.

Excellent choice. Reasonable price unlike most in the area. Stayed there several years ago in 40’ Monaco with GC Jeep toad. Had good power, water spigots close with extra long hose can connect to your rig and had a dump station as I recall. But the million dollar view of Toronto across the lake 20 miles away was the BIG bonus. Close to Niagra Falls and another state park. Would go back there in a heartbeat 💗

As an alternative to a regular RV park. Not sure if it is available at all times, but in September 2015, we stayed 3 days, in the large gravel lot at the Seneca-Niagara Casino, about 1/4 mile from the Falls. Yes, it was dry camping, but cost was what we chose to spend in the Casino. And their Seafood Buffet was fantastic!

Thanks for confirming that RV's can park there. That is hopefully plan A for us. And thanks to all for the supporting info on 4 mile SP.

I suppose that not having a toad changes our perspective on the desire for full hookups. We always operate from the tanks and do not use the city water connection on the RV. Since we are leaving the site anyway, stopping off at the dump station on our way out is no big deal and we can run 4 days on the tanks. But our time with a TT lets me see the other side of the issue.

We were just there 2 weeks ago. All I can tell you is check Good Sam and pick one with good ratings. We stayed at the Niagara Falls North KOA and although they had full hook ups, the grounds and pool and not been kept up. Also, we were relying on Uber as well but there were none to be found in the area. You can park the your RV at the park in Parkling Lot 3 for RV's and busses, so don't worry about that. We did the falls first and then went and checked into our sight. You will love the park, make sure you do the Mist Boat tour, only $20.
Have fun.

We stayed at Branches of Niagara two years ago, nice park, also had cabins in case you have extra people. It is conveniently located just off the interstate. It’s a little smaller which we enjoyed. Nice campground, although WiFi was a little weak. We loved it there with our adult children and grand children . branches of Niagara

We arrived yesterday and, since we were a day early, decided to stay at the KOA on the Canadian side. We were pleased to discover that the Red Line bus stops right in front of the KOA and for $8cn we could buy a 24 hour pass that will take you anywhere that the WEGO buses run. This is a great deal and avoids the hassle of finding parking and paying at each location.
We went to the Botanical Gardens and Butterfly Conservatory in the afternoon. We went to see the falls last night just before sunset and then watched the fireworks before coming back. This afternoon we head to 4 Mile Creek SP on the American side.

We have now spent a week staying at 4 Mile Creek SP and have been all over the area. We went to Lockport and spent one day there. The lady at the Caves pavilion told us we could park in their lot for the day even before we decided to take their caves tour. Another day, we went to see Ft. Niagara and 30 mile point lighthouse. We went to see the NY side of the falls on Thursday, parked in lot #3 and rode our bikes everywhere that we wanted to go. Saturday we went to see the Niagara Power Project.
We had no problems parking the RV anywhere we went and I think we would have been OK even in a 35 to 40 foot coach. 4 Mile Creek is a beautiful park with very large camp sites. Didn't get out the tape measure, but I think about 60 +feet wide and 100+ feet deep. We did not need leveling blocks at all.
Tomorrow we head to Sampson SP on Seneca Lake.
