Dockweiler RV Park experiences?

I going to visit my son and family Dockweiler appears to be the closest RV park. Any experiences???

Also I would like a place to hang my for a couple of nights before, that's best Palm Springs. I'd like a simple park, not a resort, but I think almost everything is resort and golf in that area.

TIA,
Max

Dockweiler is right on the beach, along the bike path which stretches for miles along the ocean. The sites are on level paved areas with full hookups. Some have partial views of the water but a dune created during the winter for stopping erosion of the beaches predominates. It is situated in the heart of the LA area and there are no other choices unless you go south into Orange Co or north past Santa Monica.

There are some challenges. The LAX airport takeoffs are almost directly over the north end of the park and occur frequently. They do stop for a few hours overnight. Also, cell phone signals are weak and the park wifi is only strong enough near the office. Sites are narrow and separated only by white lines. Most sites are fine for up to 36-38 ft but only a couple at the south end will do up to 44 ft. If you have a visitor, you must pay for a guest pass for them to park inside along the east wall.

Given the traffic getting in and out of the city, and the fact that there are no other nearby choices, it is probably your best bet.

Thank you.

I'll be visiting my grandkids and it seems to be the closest RV site, if I can get reservations.

Thanks again,
Max
